Advanced Turkish C1 Grammar Rules Explained
How to Use "If I Hadn't..." Suffix (-amasaydım)?
Bul- + -ama- (inability) + -sa- (condition) + -ydım (past) = Bulamasaydım
- Inability Suffix (-ama): Adds the meaning of "unable to" or "could not".
- Conditional (-sa): Establishes a hypothetical situation.
- Past Suffix (-ydım): Places the condition into the past (e.g., "If I hadn't found").
How to Express "To Those Who Pass..." (-enlere)?
Geç- (pass) + -en (participle) + -ler (plural) + -e (dative) = Geçenlere
In Turkish, active participles (-an / -en) turn verbs into nouns representing the agent doing the action!
